# Container

---

Großbehälter aus Stahlblech mit Doppeltüren an beiden Enden, ausgelegt für die Beförderung von Stück-, Kühl- oder Schüttgut. Ihr Volumen beträgt mindestens 1m³, oft aber über 3m³. Die quaderförmigen Container sind für eine besonders einfache Be- und Entladung ausgelegt und lassen sich einfach stapeln. Für verschiedene Einsatzzwecke existieren unterschiedliche Typen von Containern. In der Regel werden genormte ISO-Container verwendet, deren Maße von der IMO (International Maritime Organization) festgelegt wurden.
